Dear family, friends and supporters

Well the works to the new school are now on its way with the footing have now been excavated and ready for the concreting to begin, remembering that the sand, cement, ballast and steelwork needs to be carried two kilometres on very narrow pathways, also there is no electric in the village, so everything has to be done by hand. This is the biggest part of the job the footings as they need to have the piers and foundations reinforced with steel rods.
We are now back in the capital Kathmandu and finalising the paperwork for the new committees and bank accounts with a solicitor which will take about five days to complete, also to finalise the paperwork for the government buildings departments.
We will keep you informed on the progress with photos as it happens.
A bit about the village.
This very small village has about 300 occupants and is built on the face of the mountains, it has no road going to it, but plans have been in place to extend the road into the village, this process is cutting into the rock face and forming a new road, it has about two kilometres, to go, but the government has stopped the works because it has ran out of money, the cost to finalise the road will cost about £20,000.
We have met most people that live in the village and there are a few people that need medical and hospital treatment, one man has had an operation on his leg which started off with what we have been told as diabetes, however this was left and he has had an operation to remove his toe as he got infected with gangrene, he was discharged from hospital and now don't know what to do or even when he has to go back to hospital.
There is another man who is 79 years old who has a lump the size of a tennis ball on his neck, again no money and can't do anything about it.
There is another man who broke his arm and was set wrongly and now been left with a very disfigured arm, again no money and can't do anything about it.
Kathmandu hospital is about 10 hours away from the village.
The village people live on there own produce, all the food is grown in their own gardens, organic fruit and veg, chicken and goat for there meat, and rice with every meal, cooked on wood fires, the richer home owners will have solar panel which will give them light, the poorer has candles.
None of the people get any help from the government, you will only get medical treatment only if you have the means of paying for it.
No power, no telephone, wifi or signals, no shops, just a lot of smiley faces.
